As much as I would have loved writing these two giving in pre-series, it was important to me to remain true to the show (and that conversation in the miracle job where they say that it never happened) so I am glad that this version worked for you! I am actually really glad that you liked this and took the time to comment. It means so much because this fandom is so incredibly small, and Nate/Sophie fans even less so.

This fic has made me so hopeful for Nate's development (which is, more or less, equal to Sophie/Nate development in my head) in season 5.

I hope season five sees a lot of these two co-existing and being happy and Nate finally coming to terms with who he is and them both letting each other in. Because she is just as guilty about keeping him at arms length...
