Thank you very much! I really struggled with trying to maintain the line between the story I wanted to tell and remaining truthful to these characters, so I am so delighted this worked for you. I am especially glad that the ending works for you, because while I tend to like wide-open endings, I do realize that most people like to be told exactly what happened and how and when, but this fic was never mean to get to that point.
