I wish I had more coherent thoughts at the moment because I really love this 'other time' that you made for them. It's so wonderful and a perfect capture of time with them inside it, and they lie and lie and say just this once, but that moment and that line will always be there. I love too that you said that they took a long time to reach this point, that it took days and weeks and years and that's just so wonderful because it's real. Every bit of it's gorgeous writing and especially the moment in his childhood bedroom after his father's death. SO GOOD.
