I really like four, too. I have an affinity for the angst factor, but I wanted to throw in some happy times, too. Show what she could have had if she'd never been turned.
Caroline and Stefan definitely have chemistry. I can't see them happening, though, unless Elena is dead. Mostly because I can't see a time when he isn't devastatingly in love with Elena.
