Title: we're gonna turn this thing around
Summary: Their story doesn’t end in the woods with tears and death and promises that come too late. Or, basically, a giant screw you to Shonda. These two deserved better, damn it.
Rating: pg-13
Author's Notes: 3,703 words. Plays fast and loose with canon after the season seven finale, but I don't really care because Shonda does this pretty much every day of her life. Somewhat inspired by whatever interview Eric Dane did where he said Mark and Lexie would have given up medicine and moved to Cabo. All mistakes are mine, and, you know what, these two might as well be too. I treat them better! Con-crit is a beautiful thing.

For [livejournal.com profile] magisterequitum and [livejournal.com profile] duchessofavalon because they are enablers. Also, for [livejournal.com profile] lexiesloan just because.

Title: The Battle's Almost Won
SummaryAfter Seattle, the next time Lexie Grey sees Mark Sloan is when she is just two weeks shy of her thirtieth birthday. In the immediate aftermath of George's death, Lexie recieves an offer she can't refuse from Mass Gen and leaves Seattle and Mark behind. This story takes place five years later, when a chance meeting reignites feelings both parties thought had long since been laid to rest.
Rating: pg-13
Author's Notes: 16,408 words. Written for [livejournal.com profile] het_bigbang. General series spoilers, but veers off into AU territory after 5x24. No further plot points are taken into account here. SOOOOO. The season finale happened this spring. And even though I haven't watched this show in years it still managed to rip my heart out and shred it to pieces. This is the ending I wish so very much these two characters could have recieved. In fact, this is my offical head!canon because Mark and Lexie of season five deserved so, so much more than the cards they were dealt. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] leobrat for that early look and [livejournal.com profile] justforyoudear for the beta.

Prompt #93: There are many things in your heart you can never tell to another person. They are you, your private joys and sorrows, and you can never tell them. You cheapen yourself, the inside of yourself, when you tell them. -- Greta Garbo

Title: Stalemate
Summary: She shifts her weight from left to right, bottom lip between her teeth for a moment as she remembers.
Rating: pg
Author's Notes: 502 words. For [livejournal.com profile] lizzy29 who requested Mark/Lexie. This is... not as happy as I would have liked, so you'll have to take an IOU for the fluff. Set in season six. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not.

Title: An Attempt at Reconciliation
Summary: She's not sure of her placement here anymore. Lexie isn't quite sure what she wants her placement to be yet, not now with so many things still not reconciled between them.
Rating: pg
Author's Notes: 1,546 words. Post ep for 7x11. A conversation I need these two to have on the show, but we will more than likely never see. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not.

Title: waiting 'til the shine wears off
Summary: The moment breathes intimacy and simplicity, everything they’re not, and it takes every ounce of willpower she can muster from within not to fall for the façade. We can try to forget, try to move on. It's always easier said than done.
Rating: r
Author's Notes: 1,777 words. Set post 7x10. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. Be gentle - I'm a bit rusty writing these two anywhere outside of season five. Con-crit is both welcome and appreciated.

Title: We Forgot to Read the Fine Print
Summary: They’re stuck in some sort of limbo, toeing the line they drew a few months back, and it’s kind of nice, she thinks now, finding which way is up with him by her side.
Rating: pg-13
Author's Notes: 2,652 words. Set in early season 5. Spoilers for everything up until that point.  For [livejournal.com profile] lexiesloan . Happy Holidays, bb. I know this isn't quite what you wanted, but I hope you like it anyway. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. Feedback is a lovely thing.

Title: What's Simple is True
Summary: . Flash backwards four months, maybe even five now, and she may have shown up on his doorstep with ulterior motives, but this was not initially what she was looking for.
Rating: pg
Author's Notes: 3,326 words. Post Ep for 5x20. Other than that, general series spoilers. Mark/Lexie with Meredith/Lexie friendship thrown in for good measure. For [livejournal.com profile] littleone87 . I hope this cheers you up, bb. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. Con-crit is both welcome and appreciated.

Title:  Remind Me Where the Light is
Summary: It’s been an entire year and she stands there frozen and thinks about all the shifting and changing, the brand new person that has emerged along the way. A year later and nothing is easier. At the end of the day all everyone does, really, is just try to make it through.
Rating: pg-13
Author's Notes: 5,819 words. Set in between seasons five and six. It's mostly a Lexie character piece with Mark thrown in because he was a major part of her life during this time. Don't let it throw you off if you aren't a Mark/Lexie fan, but a Lexie fan, 'kay? This story has been my baby for about 6 months. General series spoilers. HUGE thank-you to [livejournal.com profile] justforyoudear  for the hand-holding and convincing me that this wasn't completely crap. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. Con-crit is both welcome and appreciated.

Title: We'll Work Our Way Back to the Start
Summary: Two weeks later and now, the aftermath. Some things can't help but to resist change.
Rating: pg
Author's Notes: 1,950 words. Post 6x22. Written for [livejournal.com profile] slybrunette over at the Grey's Drabble-a-thon. This is the product of muscle relaxers, too much wine and too little sleep. Hope it doesn't disappoint you too much. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. Con-crit is both welcome and appreciated.

Title: Sometimes We Lose Ourselves in the Uptake
Summary: This is a bad idea her mind reels, over and over, the words harsh and glaring, and she thinks about telling him again, and ultimately does, because even now, with his hands on her and her mind traveling a million miles a minute, her mouth has a hard time keeping up with her head.
Rating: r
Author's Notes:460 words. Written forever ago for [livejournal.com profile] slybrunette  @  the Mark and Lexie drabble-a-thon. Set post season 4. General series spoilers. Reposted because lj apparently makes me OCD. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not.

Title: And I Know Ugliness (now show me something pretty)
Summary: There are some things Lexie is still in the habit of keeping as closely guarded secrets, tucked away in her bock pocket, meant to be forgotten.
Rating: pg-13
Author's Notes: 722 words. Set in season five, definitely post 5x10. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. Con-crit is both appreciated and welcome considering I'm a bit rusty when it comes to these two. Title borrowed from Patrick Park.

Title: What Kind of Day Has it Been
Summary: It's easier, you see, to move through the uncertainty. All we have are the mistakes of others guiding our ways, lessons passed through the grapevines. Take them or leave them -- it's always your choice.
Rating: R
Author's Notes: 2,712 words. Knee-jerk reaction to 5x23 and 5x24. Dedicated to all the girls who ranted and worried and argued with me last night. You know who you are. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not. This is completely different than anything I've ever written for these two before so Con-Crit is both welcome and appreciated. (Oh, and a cookie to whoever can tell me where the title is from *g*)

Title: They Don't Write Handbooks for These Sorts of Things
Summary: The 'your angry' drops between them somewhere between the third and fourth floors and she watches him closely out of habit. They just don't do this. They don't shut each other out. Set during 5x22.
Rating: pg
Author's Notes: 2,518 words. Written for [livejournal.com profile] littleone87 over at the the Mark and Lexie drabble-a-thon. Based on the sneak peek for the season five finale. General Series spoilers. All mistakes are mine. These characters, however, are not.
