Yeah... I totally agree. Have you seen one of those relationships where all you want to scream is "he's just not that into you"? Talk about a phrase ruined by crappy relationship books, but in this case, OMG, yes... In the case I'm thinking of, they did get married, but it's one of those marriages where everyone wonders if it will last more than ten years. If your fiance can't even clear out a drawer for you when you move in despite having three large closets without outside intervention, he really does not want to live together (or get married). And forcing, IMHO, will just lead to everyone being in denial and not actually communicating. Harvey and Donna are both too smart and have waited WAY too long to fall into that pit. (In Donna's mind, that is why she waited 13 years until Harvey was actually ready for this).
I vote that Harvey's apartment has a guest room we never saw before (but where's Donna's parents stayed) with a large closet and they both compromise by splitting the master bedroom closet equally and everything out of season for both of them goes there. There may or may not be the need for Donna's shoe and handbag collection to spill into the closet previously reserved for Harvey's sports equipment (which now gets to live in the building's basement storage unit).
